Voluntary Compliance Rates Continue to Rise While Tax Revenues Grow Without Additional Burdens
 

Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, expressed his appreciation to the outstanding employees of the Egyptian Tax Authority during a recognition ceremony organised by eFinance for Financial and Digital Investments and eTax, the company specialising in tax technology solutions.

Addressing the honourees, Kouchouk said: “Thank you to the changemakers who have earned the trust of the tax community. Together, we are transforming Egypt’s tax landscape through stronger partnerships with taxpayers, built on integrated digital services.”

Speaking to employees of the Egyptian Tax Authority during the ceremony, he noted that the positive outcomes of the tax facilitation package encourage the continuation of the reform path already underway through further simplification and greater support for the tax community.

“The strong response from the business community reassures us that we are moving in the right direction and places upon us the responsibility to maintain and sustain this progress,” he added.

Kouchouk highlighted the continued rise in voluntary compliance rates and the growth of tax revenues without imposing any additional burdens. He stressed that the Ministry remains committed to deepening its partnership with taxpayers through meaningful support and a genuine commitment to helping businesses grow and succeed.

“The Egyptian Tax Authority, our partners across the tax community, eFinance and eTax all deserve recognition for their genuine commitment to development and improvement,” the Minister said. “Together, we are making a meaningful difference through impactful steps that advance tax reform, support investment and drive economic growth. Every day, we strive to improve our services to ensure greater taxpayer satisfaction.”

Kouchouk added: “I am extremely proud of the remarkable progress demonstrated by eFinance and eTax and their growing ability to export tax expertise and services.”
He noted that there is increasing regional interest in benefiting from Egypt’s successful experience in digitising and simplifying financial and tax systems, expressing confidence in the potential to extend the expertise of eFinance and eTax across regional markets.

Rasha Abdel Aal, Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, expressed her appreciation for the continued support of the Minister of Finance and reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to providing greater assistance and facilitation for the tax community.
“I am very proud of our successful partnership with the tax community, eFinance and eTax,” she said.

Abdel Aal added that employees of the Egyptian Tax Authority had risen to the challenge and demonstrated a genuine commitment to implementing tax facilitation measures and delivering high-quality digital services. She emphasised that the Authority’s relationship with taxpayers will always be built on trust, partnership and support, enabling businesses to grow and expand their investments.

Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman & CEO of eFinance Investment Group, reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to create a more efficient and user-friendly tax ecosystem.
“We are one team working toward a common goal: advancing tax reform and making it easier for the business community,” Sarhan said.

Khaled Abdel Ghani, Chief Executive Officer of eTax, stressed that development is a continuous process and that taxpayer satisfaction remains the company’s ultimate goal.
“Many of our ideas come directly from the tax community, and we transform them into simple, practical technology solutions,” he said.

Abdel Ghani added that eTax is actively supporting the tax system’s transition towards a stronger customer-service culture, helping improve taxpayers’ experience with the Egyptian Tax Authority and its digital platforms.

During the ceremony, Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman & CEO of EFIG, honoured Rasha Abdel Aal, Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, in recognition of her efforts to enhance tax services and facilitate procedures for the business community.

Sarhan and Abdel Aal also honoured a number of Egyptian Tax Authority leaders and work teams whose contributions played a significant role in improving taxpayer services and advancing the Authority’s development efforts.
